Crocodile Escapes Container on Qantas Flight

Australian airline Qantas has admitted that a crocodile was found roaming the cargo hold of one its planes last week.

The reptile, which was not fully grown, was being airlifted from Brisbane to Melbourne when it escaped from its container.

It was found by baggage handlers as they unloaded passengers’ luggage in Melbourne.

Qantas said it has launched an investigation to see how the animal had escaped, and to check whether ground handler Australian Air Express had followed the correct loading procedures.
