Marking its 10th anniversary, the FedEx Express hub at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris opened its expanded facilities last week. With a joint investment of $158 million, FedEx and Aéroports de Paris substantially increased the number of packages and documents the hub can handle.

Cunningham Jr., president, Asia Pacific, FedEx Express. “Europe is a top trading partner for many countries in Asia-Pacific, with China being its biggest trading partner and source of manufactured goods. FedEx has been a leader in facilitating trade between Asia and Europe and the Hub expansion will provide our customers here with even greater access to trade across this important marketplace.”
The FedEx and Aéroports de Paris joint investment of US $158 million in the new facilities will allow FedEx to continue to offer world-class services to its customers:
The FedEx Express European Hub at Charles de Gaulle Airport now has total floor space of 828,821 square feet. The sort area was expanded from 533,889 square feet to 775,001 square feet and can now handle 61,500 documents and packages per hour. The freight and dangerous goods area was expanded from 1,400 square meters to 13,000 square meters. The hub employs 2,600 team members and handles 300 flights per week. It is now the largest FedEx hub outside the United States.
