Qantas Freight, the air cargo operations subsidiary of Qantas, launched its first iPhone app and mobile site for smartphones recently.
The mobile site was built in HTML5 and offers much of the same functionality as QantasFreight.com, including real-time tracking, flight information and contact details.
The company said the iPhone app supplies automatic air waybill push notifications as shipments pass milestones chosen by the customer, like clearing customs, and automatic flight push notifications allowing customers to receive alerts about changes in flight status.
