Pinnacle Freight of Edison, NJ Exceeds Pharma Cold Shipping Standards in 24-Hour Temperature Distribution Verification

July 19, 2013 (Edison, NJ) Pinnacle Freight Systems of Edison, New Jersey has released the results of a 24-hour temperature mapping study performed on June 13-14, 2013, by the Quality Management unit of Cryopak, the industry leader in cold chain packaging solutions.

Eighteen ThermoProfile temperature data loggers were used to record and verify the temperature distribution inside Pinnacle Freight’s refrigerated trailers (Great Dane Thermo King, models SB-230 and SB-210+, equipped with Smart Reefer SR-3 controllers).

Thermal mapped at both 2 – 8 degrees Celsius and 15 – 25 degrees Celsius, the Pinnacle trailers exceeded the temperature maintenance and distribution standards guaranteed by the company. In the 2-8 degree study, the lowest temperature recorded was 3.7 degrees Celsius and the high temperature was 6.1. In the 15-25 degree study, the minimum and maximum temperatures recorded during the 24 hours were respectively 18 degrees Celsius and 21.1 degrees Celsius.
