Eleets Transportation, an asset-based logistics company, reportedly shut down.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Eleets Transportation has been forced to close our doors as of today,” spokesperson Blythe Brumleve said in an e-mail Friday.
President and CEO Allen Steele was not immediately available for comment.
According to its Web site, Eleets Transportation sales reached $120 million in 2011.
The Jacksonville, Fla., company owns trucks and offers brokerage services, with offices in California, Florida, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
The company opened locations in California and Missouri early last month.
