Eos Risk Management has launched a maritime security service in West Africa to protect commercial ships on their way through the Gulf of Guinea, which has been designated as a high risk area for piracy and other hostile incidents.
The licensed service supplies ex-forces armed operatives, using equipment and conflict management techniques to protect vessels traveling from the Ivory Coast to Cameroon.
In 2012, the ICC Commercial Crime Services’ IMB Piracy Reporting Centre reported 58 incidents of piracy.
