MSC Set to Raise Asia-Europe, Europe-US Rates

Mediterranean Shipping Co. will hike rates for all cargo in its trade from Asia to eastern and western Mediterranean, North Africa, the Black Sea, the Adriatic, North Europe and Scandinavia (Baltic), starting April 15. The increase will be $575 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.

The carrier will also raise rates for all cargo in its trade from Italy, Spain, Portugal, the south of France and Israel to the U.S., effective June 1. The increase will be $250 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container.
