Geodis Wilson, the global freight management division of the SNCF Geodis Group, will be represented at the SMM 2010 (7-10 September 2010), with its own exhibition stand (Hall B6 / No. 274). In recent years, Geodis Wilson has created and optimized innovative tailored solutions covering the entire transport and logistics chain for ship owners and operators, particularly in the cruise sector, to supply their vessels worldwide. Now, with increased product ranges and an expanded number of components required by the industry, new challenges and special demands regarding spare part logistics and transparency within the supply chain are presenting themselves. As complexity increases so does the requirement for flexibility in the supply chain. When supplying cruise ships, in particular with parts and services, the point of delivery can change frequently from port to port, therefore leading to tight deadline requirements in terms of timing of deliveries.
