Following IAG’s acceptance of a compromise proposal between Iberia airlines and its workers, the airline has announced that unions representing the majority of Iberia’s employees have also formally agreed to back the proposal.
The proposal, which was put forward by a government-appointed mediator, would save the jobs of 666 workers and increase redundancy payouts for others. Iberia had originally planned to cut 3,807 jobs, but agreed to the mediator’s compromise to stop further strike action.
