Aug. 14, 2013 (Springfield, MO) Prime Inc. is pleased to announce their Contractors and Company Drivers of the Year. "To make it to the top is an honor," Prime Inc. Company Driver Charles Plant said. "There are a lot of great drivers out there. To be selected as one of the best makes you feel good.”

Plant has been with Prime for seven years. He says, "We have great hometime, great pay, and great people." Altogether, Prime recognized nine contractors and company drivers for 2012.

In the Flatbed Division, the honor went to Company Driver Charles Plant (of Duncan, OK) and Contractor Bill Whoberry (of Bradford, TN). In the Tanker Division, the honor was given to Company Driver Doug Adams (of Portland, TN) and Contractor Rod Brown (of Houston, TX). In the Refrigerated Division, the honor went to Company Drivers Shane & Johnna Morgan (of Brunson, SC), Solo Contractor Chad Daniel (of Springfield, MO), and Team Drivers Berinus Paul (of Bellflower, CA) & Curtis Parks (of Phoenix, AZ).

“We felt pretty awesome. We have worked for a lot of trucking companies. None of them have ever recognized us," Company Driver Johnna Morgan said. "It made us feel good to know that we were the best company team drivers. A lot of companies don't care to recognize drivers for stuff like that."

Prime recognizes how valuable drivers and contractors are to the company's success. According to John Hancock, Director of Recruitment and Driver Training, the company offers a variety of programs that reward hard work and dedication to service and safety. "Along with Contractor and Driver of the Year, we also recognize a Driver of the Month, and we sponsor a Prime Millionaire Program that rewards drivers for continuing accident-free service. We also offer a wide range of incentives designed to promote safety, on-time service, fuel consumption, tractor maintenance, and more."
