Transportation Intermediaries Association and Avalon Risk Management Announce 2010 Convention Scholarship Winners

The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) is pleased to announce the recipients of TIA’s Convention Scholarships sponsored by Avalon Risk Management, Inc. The scholarships allow the recipients to attend TIA’s 32nd Annual Convention and Trade Show, April 7-10, 2010, in Tucson, Ariz., The scholarship recipients will receive $1,000 each from Avalon to cover the cost of airfare and accommodations for TIA’s Conference. TIA waives the Conference registration fee for scholarship recipients.

The recipients are:

Lant Dimler, C.L. Services, Inc.
Nathan Hagen, B-Line Transport Services LLC
Hollis Pace, III, Hanson Logistics
Adam Wheatley, Choptank Transport

“I personally congratulate each winner and am pleased that we at Avalon were able to facilitate their attendance at what promises to be an extremely information-rich conference. We look forward to meeting the winners in Tucson,” said Mike Brown, Senior Vice President of Sales, Avalon Risk Management, Inc.

The TIAFoundation Board intends to offer these scholarships on an annual basis to promote education and industry involvement. The recipients are all first-time TIA Conference attendees. Each possesses a minimum of two years’ experience in the third-party logistics industry. The recipients will submit a written report at the conclusion of TIA’s Conference summarizing their experience and explaining how they believe that their attendance will benefit them and further their career goals.
