New Freedom, Pa. (PRWEB) April 12, 2010 -- BB Global Logistics, (www.tbbgl.com), a 64-year-old, nationally-known, third-party supply chain management firm, announces the promotion of Patrick J. Nelson from his current role as Director of Truckload Operations to the position of Vice President of Domestic Operations.

Since joining TBB in 2007, Nelson has managed the successful rebranding of the company's truckload service to Smokin' Stampede Truckload Service, implemented MercuryGate truckload technology in the Smokin' Stampede unit, and developed TBB's new partnership with LoJack Supply Chain Integrity (SCI) to protect clients' cargo from theft.

As Vice President of Domestic Operations, Nelson will be responsible for guiding and managing TBB's Domestic Supply Chain Guardian (DSCG) unit as well as the Smokin' Stampede Truckload Division.

We're lucky to have the expertise of a 30-year industry veteran like Pat Nelson lead two of TBB's well-known divisions, said Samuel R. Polakoff, president of TBB Global Logistics. As we continue to expand our supply chain management services portfolio to help small and medium-sized clients expand markets and improve margins, innovators like Pat are invaluable to the TBB management team.

Prior to joining TBB, Nelson served as Director of Logistics for Pittsburgh Intermodal Terminal, where he created the truckload brokerage division, as well as held positions with P.I&I. Motor Express and Sharon Steel Corporation.

It's a pleasure to grow with a company where strong family and good business values are woven into every aspect of its operations, and where the entire team is dedicated to getting our clients to the next level in terms of supply chain management efficiency.
