Shipco Expands Service Coverage from Asia to Istanbul

JOC Staff |
Shipco Transport, one of the world's leading neutral consolidators, has over recent months launched a number of new direct services from the Far East to Turkey. The services link several Asia key origins - Shanghai, Shenzhen, Qingdao and Busan to one of the most important growth markets in the Eastern Mediterranean.

It is expected that the service platform to and from Turkey will be expanded further in the coming months with introduction of more direct services. Turkey has a considerable domestic market but also holds a largely untapped potential as a gateway location to the Black Sea. Services linking Georgia, Romania, Russia (Novorussiysk) and Ukraine to the Shipco network via Istanbul are currently being studied and will be launched during the first half of 2011.

Shipco Transport provides a comprehensive range of neutral export and import ocean and airfreight services. Shipco is a wholly owned subsidiary of Scan-Group, an international shipping and transportation company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark with more than 100 own offices and over 2,200 employees worldwide.

Shipco is a founding member of the WorldWide Alliance, an association of the world’s top NVOCCs.
