The introduction of the new systems will improve safety and reliability levels, and reduce outlays on operating and servicing railway equipment, which will boost the development of the rail sector and ensure strong economic and technical results.

The sides also agreed to develop cooperation in creating and testing joint developments in the following areas:

- innovative intelligent transport systems, with regard to infrastructure management;
- the latest means of displaying information with the use of advanced technology for processing optical-electronic data;
- energy-saving systems and improving energy efficiency at railway facilities.

Swarco AG is part of Austria’s Swarovski Group. The company’s core operations are the production of the full range of traffic signage and urban traffic management equipment.
