India’s new trade policy targets doubling of exports

The new Narendra Modi-led Indian federal government announced its much-awaited foreign trade policy, with a goal of doubling the country’s exports to $900 billion and elevate its share of world trade from the current 2 percent to 3.5 percent by 2020.
