Oh, Canada! Washington's Biggest Export Market

SEATTLE-It is Washington Trade Week, and the Port of Seattle is taking this occasion to highlight a different trade partner for each day of the week. Today, we honor our neighbor to the north, Canada, which is Washington's largest export market. By far, the most exported item from Washington to Canada is mineral fuel (oil and natural gas). In 2009, over $16.8 billion was exported by vessel out of Seattle.
