MEXICAN INFLATION PUT AT 45 PERCENT TO 47 PERCENT

Mexican inflation for 1995 will likely be 45 percent to 47 percent, according to year, according to Mexico Finance Secretary Guillermo Ortiz.

Mr. Ortiz was speaking to New York investors and analysts about Mexico's progress under the economic program adopted early this year in a meeting sponsored by Bancomext."Inflation for 1995 will likely be 45 to 47 percent," Mr. Ortiz said.

Mr. Ortiz said he expects August inflation of around 1.7 percent, with September inflation rising to about 2.0 percent due to seasonal factors such as children returning to school.
