U.S.-South Europe lines raise rates

The United States South Europe Conference on Monday confirmed rate increases initially announced April 29.

Effective July 1, as part of an ongoing rate recovery program, USSEC Eastbound tariff rates will rise to $160 per 20-foot dry container; $240 per 20-foot temperature-controlled container; $200 per 40/45-foot dry container, and $300 per 40-foot temperature-controlled container.

Westbound rates will rise to $200 per 20-foot container, and $250 per 40/45-foot container.

USSEC members are: A.P.Moller-Maersk Sealand, Hapag Lloyd Container Linie GmbH, and P&O Nedlloyd Ltd.
