U.S.-Australia lines increase fuel charge

The members of the United States/Australasia Discussion Agreement, providing direct service to Australia and New Zealand from the United States, have conducted the quarterly review of the Emergency Fuel Adjustment Factor (EFAF) and said that effective June 15, the new charge will be $130 per TEU The previous charge was $120 per TEU.

The group said its members would continue to monitor the EFAF on a three-month cycle. The members of the group are Australia New Zealand Direct Line, CMA CGM, Fesco, Hamburg Sud, Lykes Line, Maersk Sealand, Marfret, P&O Nedlloyd, and Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
