Seaboard Marine upgrades Haiti service

Seaboard Marine Ltd. this week upgrades its weekly liner service between the Port of Miami and Port-au-Prince, Haiti to a semi-weekly service.

The fixed-day service departs Miami every Wednesday and Sunday with arrivals in Port-au-Prince on Saturday and Wednesday. Northbound departures from Haiti are every Wednesday and Sunday with arrivals in Miami on Sunday and Wednesday.

Seaboard Marine, based in Miami, has been in the Haiti market for more than 12 years with a weekly service that departed every Friday. In 2000, the company opened its own office, Seaboard Marine of Haiti.

Seaboard has moved the 12-year-old M/V Concorde Spirit from its weekly Friday departure from Miami to the Wednesday departure. The Concorde Spirit weighs 5,177 deadweight tons and can handle up to 266 TEUs and has 60 reefer plugs.

The four-year-old M/V Herrentor will depart every Sunday from Miami. The 5,548-dwt vessel can handle up to 516 TEUs and has 60 reefer plugs.
