NIELS JOHNSEN ELECTED PRESIDENT OF WATERMAN

International Ship- holding Corp. said Niels M. Johnsen was elected president of Waterman Steamship Corp. He succeeds Edward P. Walsh, who will serve as a consultant to Waterman, a subsidiary of ISC, which has its headquarters in New Orleans.

Mr. Johnsen, who is based here, is a vice president and director of ISC, which he joined in 1970. He also is president of N.W. Johnsen & Co., which acts as the chartering broker for the ISC group of companies and other third- party charterers.ISC also announced that Charles G. Boyle Jr. retired after more than 30 years with Waterman. His most recent position was senior vice president with responsibility for the lighter-aboard-ship liner service between U.S. Gulf and Atlantic ports and South and Southeast Asia.
