MARINE UNDERWRITERS SET SEMINAR

The public's increasing concern over the shipping industry's effect on the maritime environment will be one of the subjects addressed in a seminar sponsored by the Board of Marine Underwriters of San Francisco.

The group's Eighth Biennial Marine Seminar is set for March 29-30 at the Le Meridien Hotel here.One session, titled "Environmental Consciousness Raising: Implications for Marine Underwriters," will feature representatives of Chevron Shipping Co., the Sierra Club and Clean Bay, a local conservation group.

Other sessions will focus on maritime fraud, the New York and London insurance markets and the challenges facing the industry in the 1990s.
