"K' LINE ORDERS LARGE LPG SHIP

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, a leading Japanese steamship company, said it ordered a large liquefied-petroleum-gas ship from its affiliate, Kawasaki Heavy Industry Co.

"K" Line expects to receive the ship in late September 1997. The ship will be used for the trades between Japan and the Middle East and Indonesia, it said.The shipping company has a long-term cargo contract with Japan Energy Co. ''K" Line already is serving Japan Energy with two other large LPG ships.

The new LPG vessel is 760 feet long, 119 feet wide and 68 feet deep.
