America Chung Nam, the primary supplier to china’s largest containerboard manufacturer, came in as this year’s top exporter on The Journal of Commerce’s Top 100 2010 Exporter list.
The California-based company exported a total of 300,800 20-foot equivalent units from the U.S. in 2010. They also came in at No. 1 in 2009 on the list, having exported 259,300 TEUs that year.
This the company's 10th straight year at the top of the list.
America Chung Nam, founded in 1990, sends recycled paper goods to Chinese paper mills, which are then converted into fiberboard, cardboard, and packaging. The company has their customer base in the U.S., Asia and Europe. In addition to containerboard, they also exports plastic recyclables.
The JOC's Top 100 Imports and Exports list will be available Monday, May 30.
