Eastbound Trans-Pacific Spot Container Rates Decline

The average eastbound trans-Pacific spot rate fell for the second consecutive week as peak-season demand waned.

The Drewry Container Rate Benchmark for shipping a 40-foot-equivalent container unit from Hong Kong to Los Angeles slipped 1.6 percent or $43 to $2,606 per FEU.

The benchmark rate is 76.3 percent higher than the same week last year, when it stood at $1,478 per FEU.

Since the JOC has changed, I'm curious if anyone else is finding if much less useful and difficult to use as well. When I pull up this page it doesn't hallow some info to load (images of the charges graph presumably), as well as I'm finding the information redundant. I use to enjoy going to certain locations for things like the Shanghai container index but do not find the data to be nearly as helpful. Information on the JOC is much more difficult to find now and when quarried under 'Search' it doesn't come up like it use to. Anyone else findi the site less helpful?
