Hapag-Lloyd to Hike Indian Subcontinent-North America Rates

Hapag-Lloyd has announced two rate increases for all dry, refrigerated, flat rack and open top containers that will take effect on May 1:

  • From India to the U.S. and Canada, the hike will be $340 per 20-foot container, $425 per 40-foot container, $478 per 40-foot high-cube container and $538 per 45-foot container.
  • From elsewhere in the Indian subcontinent (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives) to the U.S. and Canada, the hike will be $320 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container, $450 per 40-foot high-cube container and $506 per 45-foot container.

The carrier has also revised surcharges for its North America and Latin America trade, as well as its trade to and from Asia and Oceania, both effective on May 1.
