Boskalis Owns 29 Percent of Takeover Target Dockwise

Boskalis, the Dutch dredging and marine services group, said it now owns 29 percent of Dockwise, the heavy-lift shipping company it has offered to buy for $887 million.

Boskalis, which bought approximately 11.5 million shares in Dockwise after announcing its takeover bid on Nov. 26, said it had invited the Netherlands-based company to meet at short notice to discuss the proposed offer “in order to come to a transaction that is supported and recommended by the board of directors of Dockwise.”

HAL Investments, which owns about 32 percent of the outstanding shares in Dockwise, has irrevocably committed to tender its shares under the intended offer.
