KODAK'S GENENCOR, CULTOR OF SWEDEN FORM VENTURE

Officials at Eastman Kodak Co. announced that its Genencor Inc. subsidiary would enter a joint venture with Cultor of Sweden to develop geneticially engineered products.

The new venture, Genencor International Inc. will be based in Rochester. Kodak predicts the company will have about $100 million in sales in 1990.Genencor International will be one of the world's largest producers of industrial enzymes.

The company makes enzymes for the detergent, dairy and food processing markets and for clinical diagnostics, snowmaking and animal feed.

Genencor Inc., based in South San Francisco, Calif., was the first company to commercialize an industrial enzyme produced through genetic engineering.
