The ITI Board of Directors Elects Six, New Board Members
DENVER, CO, November 2, 2010 – The Board of Directors of the Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) at the University of Denver recently elected six, new, transportation industry leaders to its esteemed board. The newly elected board members include: Daniel W. Avramovich, Michael Byrne, William C. Clement, Curtis J. Foltz, Eugene D. Seroka, and Richard D. Wallace. The ITI Board consists of more than 50 executives and leaders from freight transportation, passenger transportation, and shipping companies.
Daniel W. Avramovich is Chairman and CEO of Pacer International, an industry-leading intermodal and logistics services provider; Michael Byrne is CEO of Linfox Australia Pty Limited, the largest, privately owned, supply-chain solutions company in the Asia Pacific Region; William C. Clement is Vice President of Intermodal for CSX Transportation, Inc., one of the nation’s leading transportation suppliers; Curtis J. Foltz is Executive Director of the Georgia Ports Authority, a 1,000-person strong, state, port authority that owns and operates strategic gateways serving the U.S. Southeast; Eugene D. Seroka is President Americas for APL, Limited, a global, container shipping company, offering services at more than 140 ports worldwide; Richard D. Wallace is Vice President of Supply Chain Operations for JCPenney, one of America’s leading retailers with more than 1,100 department stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Each board member serves a three-year term.

In addition to electing the new members to the board, the ITI Board also elected two, former board members to board emeritus status, John Betz and Lindsay E. Fox. John Betz was a founding member of the ITI Board and served as Vice President of the National Freight Transportation Library, Inc. Betz was instrumental in bringing the historical collection of the ICC Library to the University of Denver. Lindsay Fox is the founder of Linfox Australia and a very strong supporter of the ITI Executive Masters Program, having sent 12 of his employees to the ITI graduate program to date. Victoria University of Australia recently honored Fox with the honorary Doctor of the University degree for his outstanding achievements in business and his contribution to community. The ITI Board Emeritus status carries a life membership and honors former board members for their service to ITI, the ITI Board, and the University of Denver.
