Karen Somerder Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

TAMPA, FL — Karen Somerder has been named a Senior Supervising Engineer in the Tampa office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering and program/construction management organization.
In her new position, Ms. Somerder will manage design and construction projects for ports and marine facilities across the U.S. and internationally.
Ms. Somerder has more than 20 years of experience with port/marine design and site development and roadway design, including managing on-call/task order driven engineering contracts at various U.S. ports. She was previously with CH2M Hill, where she served as project manager for a wide range of port, rail, road, and environmental projects.
Ms. Somerder received a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Florida State University and is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Texas, and Virginia. She is a member of the Florida Engineering Society and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
