JOC Staff |

(Boston, Mass. - October 14, 2013) Maine Pointe, an operations management and implementation firm that is a leader in sustainable global supply chain transformation, has appointed Anthony "Tony" Prosser as President.

In this new position, Prosser assumes a number of the responsibilities for day-to-day management of the firm that were previously held by Maine Pointe Founder, Steven Bowen, who now becomes Founder and CEO to focus more singularly on longer-term strategic development plans.

Prosser joins Maine Pointe at a pivotal time in its growth and evolution as the firm continues to experience an expansion of its client engagements, scope of work, and market focus. He is the latest appointment in a series of additions to the firm's leadership ranks, which have been accompanied by increasing opportunities in aerospace, chemical, food and beverage, and the transportation industry.

Building Leading Organizations that Deliver

With a thirty-year track record in business transformation initiatives involving multinational enterprises, Prosser is widely recognized for building and managing professional services organizations that have achieved exceptional performance while redefining client expectations for impact and results.

His experience across the full business lifecycle has entailed multiple operational disciplines; from sales and marketing effectiveness, back office operations and customer service improvements to supply chain and logistics optimization, production control and manufacturing excellence, change management, and process re-engineering. From Asia, Australia, the America's and Europe, he has consulted to CEOs and their leadership teams at a diverse array of Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to Maine Pointe and since 2007, Prosser served as Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at The Highland Group, where he led the development of a new business unit that rapidly grew to over 100 consultants and staff engaged in multiple assignments - contributing a significant portion of the revenue and profit of the total Group. From a very limited brand and presence in these markets, Highland became a top three choice by clients for operations consultants by 2011.

As Partner and Vice President with two other international consulting firms, Prosser has developed a deep understanding of what is required of consultancies today to deliver impact that exceeds client expectations. His engagement successes redefined the standard for results in assignments spaning the retail, transportation, mining, food, chemical processing and capital goods industries. Additionally, Prosser was Vice President for Operations and Engineering at a leading U.S. manufacturing group that was acquired, creating significant value.

"Maine Pointe welcomes Tony Prosser at a stage in our trajectory when his vision and leadership abilities will add tremendous value to our organization and our clients," noted Founder and CEO Steven Bowen. "No matter the industry, the expectations of clients have changed dramatically. Working with an external resource demands a level of investment on the part of our clients that needs to be responded to with a commitment to exceeding their expectations every day. Tony is well prepared to help leverage our unique assets in response to such opportunities."

A U.K. citizen now residing in the U.S., Prosser earned a B.A. in Business, with Honors, from London's Ealing College after graduating from Sandhurst Military Academy with a commission in the Gurkha Engineers. He has also completed an executive education program at the University of Michigan.
