NCLTL Honors Steve Palmer of Lowe’s with Lifetime Achievement Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 24, 2013) – The North Carolina League of Transportation & Logistics (NCLTL) announced that Steve Palmer, Vice President of Transportation for Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is the recipient of the Bill H. Teague Lifetime Achievement Award for 2013. The award was presented Friday, June 21, at NCLTL’S 82nd Annual Conference at Hilton Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Palmer’s career spans over 37 years with Lowe’s where he is responsible for International Transportation, Import Transload distribution center operations, and all North American Transportation. His career includes broad experience across all aspects of Lowe’s supply chain.

The annual award recognizes a deserving person who has left their mark in the transportation and logistics industry and has contributed significantly to the betterment of the industry in addition to the education and success of others within the business.

During the presentation, Ellis Brotherton, the 2011 recipient of the award, said: “Steve represents the very best in our industry as a true professional and we congratulate him as recipient of the BHT Lifetime Achievement Award for 2013”.
