UTi Worldwide is a holding company that operates on an asset light strategy which in 2013 netted it $4.6 billion in revenue and No. 17 on JOC’s Top 40 Global 3PLs list. These earnings represented a 6 percent decline from 2012’s $4.9 billion.

UTi Worldwide provides services such as air, land, and sea freight forwarding, and contract logistics solutions. The company also offers inbound logistics, consulting, and customs brokerage services.

Air and sea freight forwarding are the largest sources of UTi Worldwide’s revenue followed by contract logistics. Air freight is roughly 30 percent of their revenue while sea freight represents around a quarter.
