Houston, USA, 18 December, 2013 – CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading global supply chain management companies, today announced a renewal of business with Ford Motor Company in which CEVA will provide a range of logistics functions for Ford’s Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant (KTP) in Louisville, Kentucky.

CEVA has served Ford KTP as a Material Service Center (MSC) provider for the past five years.

CEVA operations will include metering inbound materials, small lot logistics, return container management and just in time transportation to and from the plant. This renewal will also enable CEVA to service a number of tier one suppliers in the region with sequencing services. Since opening in 1969, the factory has produced over seven million vehicles and currently manufactures the Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty pickup trucks as well as the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. CEVA will be investing in improvements to current facilities and additional equipment at the KTP to better serve Ford.

“We are excited to receive this commitment to retain and grow our services with one of our largest global customers,” said Kerry Zielinski, CEVA’s Vice President, Business Development, and Americas Ford Account Leader. “The Automotive sector is one of CEVA’s largest. True to our commitment to provide LEAN manufacturing support, we are dedicated to continued progress and year-over-year improvements on Ford’s behalf.”

“Our role with Ford is to help drive cost effectiveness in its manufacturing processes,” said Jim Barnett, CEVA’s Vice President of the Automotive sector for the Americas. “We value their trust in us to provide outstanding day-to-day operational logistics.”

Also in support of Ford, CEVA invested in new facilities in Kansas City, adjacent to its existing facility, as well as added more than 60 jobs to the Kansas City area, starting last August.
