GENCO Promotes Two Key Members of Leadership Team to New Positions

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – February 19, 2014 – GENCO, the leader in delivering product lifecycle logistics® solutions, announced today two leadership promotions. Tom Perry has been promoted to chief technology officer and Mike Simpson has been promoted to president of GENCO’s Retail Logistics (GRL) business unit.

As chief technology officer, Perry will lead GENCO’s IT organization and newly established R&D/Robotics team. He will focus on leveraging technology to assist all of GENCO’s business units in achieving their business strategies. Perry has been with GENCO for more than 18 years serving in increasingly important roles, including as president of GRL for the past five years. Under his leadership, GRL’s business has increased 180%.

As president of GRL, Simpson assumes Perry’s leadership role for GENCO’s second largest business unit. In his new role, Simpson will ensure that GRL’s business execution is aligned to support its significant growth plans. Throughout his more than 14 years with GENCO, Simpson has assumed increasingly important operations positions, including most recently as senior vice president of Operations for GRL.
