GAC opens Oslo Airport office to expand services in Norway

13 May 2010 – The GAC Group has opened it newest logistics office at Oslo International Airport in Norway as part of organic growth to offer a wider range of integrated services to its clients.

Located in the Oslo Air Cargo (OAC) building, the new office is well placed to provide a wide range of warehousing, logistics and air freight solutions. It is manned by a team headed by Logistics Manager Alexander Olsen, who has more than a decade of logistics experience including three and a half years with GAC in Singapore.

Expansion and opportunities

Gunnar Lundgren, GAC’s Regional Logistics Manager for Europe, says GAC’s geographical expansion in Norway has been driven by increased business opportunities from existing and new customers: “We expect to see a continuous positive trend in the Norwegian market, with greater demand for shipping and logistics services – especially from clients involved in oil and gas operations.”

The opening of the GAC Oslo Airport branch brings the total number of its branches to 12, from Oslo northwards to Spitsbergen in the Arctic Circle. Managing Director Ahmet Özsoy says the next step will explore further opportunities in the energy sector, as well as for ships spares logistics, together with other GAC offices and partners worldwide.
