FINLAND'S GDP UP 4.2 PERCENT ON YEAR

Finland's second-quarter gross domestic product rose 4.2 percent from the second quarter of 1994, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported Friday.

GDP rose 0.6 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from the first quarter of 1995.The bureau said that the annual GDP rise was the result mainly of increases in exports of 12.9 percent and increases in imports of 13.7 percent.

It also said that public consumption rose 1.0 percent on the year, private consumption was up 0.2 percent and fixed investment was up 9.0 percent.
