Evans Network Recognized For Environmental Excellence

Schuylkill Haven, PA (December 3, 2009)-The Evans Network of Companies has
been named recipient of the 2009 Green Supply Chain Award by Supply & Demand
Chain magazine. The award recognizes small, midsize and large organizations
that are taking steps to realize green goals.

Evans launched a national industry-wide environmental initiative, Export
Coordination/ Optimization-Match (ECO-Match), to make more productive use of
resources by matching up to 75 percent of import and export shipments
handled by the company.

Phillips-Van Heusen recently implemented ECO-Match to match loads from the
Port Elizabeth, NJ, to headquarters in Schuylkill Haven, PA. By matching 43
percent of imports and exports in this lane, Phillips-Van Heusen saved
approximately 10,050 gallons of diesel fuel. By not burning that diesel
fuel, the company saved 223,100 pounds of CO2 from being emitted into the
atmosphere.

Your leadership in this important area has made you stand out among your
peers, the publication stated in its announcement to Evans.

You cannot put a price on doing the right thing for humanity and for your
industry, said Albert Bert Evans, Jr., President & CEO of Evans Network.
Being honored for such an initiative is a very proud moment for everyone in
our company.

He noted that Evans Network has been deeply involved in programs along the
east coast dealing with environmental excellence. In addition to ECO-Match,
Evans Network was one of the first to be a part of Virginia Port Authority's
(VPA) GO program, which installs Diesel Multistage Filters (DMFs) and diesel
Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) on independent contractor's power equipment. The
program is achieved with funding through The Port of Virginia and matching
funds provided by Evans, so there is no cost to the independent contractor.
To date, 30 vehicles have been retrofitted at the Port of Virginia.

Each retrofit takes about four hours to complete. Once installed, drivers
return the trucks for a quick tightening to ensure the filter is firmly in
place. Evans Network is currently retrofitting its independent contractors'
trucks serving the Port of Charleston with DMFs.

Evans Network's overall goal is to take 1990 vehicles and older out of its
operations. The company is currently researching possibilities and
opportunities to assist owner operators with funding and down payments.
Evans Network will continue to match funds to retrofit independent
contractors vehicles because Mr. Evans believes that even if a driver
chooses to leave Evans, odds are he/she will stay at the port.

Evans Delivery Company, Inc. is a certified transport partner in the
