MELVINDALE, Mich., July 27, 2010 — Evans Distribution Systems, a full-service third-party logistics provider of warehousing, transportation and value-added solutions, is expanding with two new operations in Denver and Aurora, Colo.
Evans is working with a national trucking company overseeing the labor and processes of two automotive crossdock operations in Colorado. As a result of these new operations, Evans has added approximately 25 new associates including material handlers and managers.
“Given Evans’ 81-year heritage in Detroit, we have developed in-depth knowledge on how to solve logistics challenges for automotive-related companies,” said Leslie Ajlouny, vice president of business development at Evans Distribution Systems. “We’re happy to provide this supply chain expertise wherever our clients need us, and this regional assistance in Colorado is another way we provide flexible and agile support. Whether it’s enhancing the solutions of an automaker’s third-party logistics provider or working directing with a company to reduce their operational costs, we’re here to create more efficient operations and simplify the supply chain.”
