Emirates Shipping Line Launches Two Express Services to Africa

Hong Kong, 19th April 2012 - Emirates Shipping Line today announced the launch of two new services - the Gulf Mombasa Express (GMX) and the Gulf Dar-Es-Salaam Express (GDX) with CMA. Emirates will be a vessel provider on both services

The two new restructured services offer a direct fixed scheduled weekly service out of common ports through competitive transit time, ensuring port delays do not impact the quality of service on either loop.

The Gulf Mombasa Express - GMX service has a port rotation of Jebel Ali – Khor Fakkan – Mombasa – Zanzibar– Jebel Ali

The Gulf Dar-Es-Salaam Express (GDX) service has a port rotation of Jebel Ali – Khor Fakkan – Dar-Es-Salaam– Jebel Ali

Both services commence on 11th May 2012 with Gulf Mombasa Express (GMX) and Gulf Dar-Es-Salaam Express (GDX) both sailing from Jebel Ali on the same date

To make these services operationally effective, 5 vessels of 2200 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed on GMX service and 3 vessels of 1700 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed on the GDX service.
