BAX Global expands imports and brokerage group

BAX Global announced that it has added three executives to its corporate imports and brokerage department.

Kirsten Lear has been named director of imports and brokerage. She is based at BAX's Customer Service Center in Phoenix.

Tom Wolfman was also named director of imports and brokerage. He is based at BAX's New York (JFK International Airport) station. Both are responsible for regional field operations for the air, ocean and brokerage product, including sales and technical field support, compliance and import product growth.

In addition, Gilbert Salas was named import product strategy manager.

Lear, a licensed customs broker, joins BAX from Eagle Global Logistics where she served as international import operations manager for the Los Angeles International Airport station.

Wolfman also comes to BAX from Eagle, where he was director of national import operations. He is also a licensed customs broker.

He and Lear report to Crystal Cox, BAX vice president, imports and brokerage, based at BAX's corporate office in Irvine, Calif.

Salas joins BAX from DHL Danzas, where he was import brokerage manager at the company's LAX station. He is based at BAX's corporate office and is responsible for BAX's import product sales, marketing and development, global account bids, and implementation and management of new global accounts. He reports to Sylvia Robinson-Estrada, director of brokerage and compliance.
