Dachser receives Lufthansa Cargo Quality Award

Atlanta/Frankfurt, Jan 31st 2011 - On 18 January, Lufthansa Cargo announced the winners of the Quality Awards 2010. The internationally operating logistics provider, Dachser, convinced Lufthansa through high delivery quality and secured first place among Germany’s major air freight forwarders.

Performance was measured according to quality parameters such as compliance with the scope of delivery, punctuality or handling care. Dachser secured first place in the category for major forwarders with over 10,000 air waybills.

The objective behind the Lufthansa Cargo Quality Awards is to achieve highest quality standards in the interaction between air freight forwarding and airline. “Quality has top priority at Dachser. The Lufthansa Cargo Quality Award enables us to assess our own quality by comparing it directly with that of our competitors,” says Jürgen Huber, general manager of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics Germany. In 2009, Dachser generated total revenue of EUR 3.2 billion. 17,500 staff working in 306 locations worldwide handled 41.8 million consignments weighing a total of 29.4 million tonnes.
