Conrad Announces New Business and Backlog

MORGAN CITY, La., Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Conrad Industries, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: CNRD) announced today the signing of new contracts and sale of stock barges, bringing estimated current backlog to approximately $92.8 million compared $86.1 million at September 30, 2010, $41.0 million at June 30, 2010, and $38.3 million at December 31, 2009.

New contracts include two 245'x 48'x 12'LPG tank barges and two 222' x 54'x 12' LPG tank Barges both sets with approximately 16,000 gross barrel capacity designed for inland waterway operations.

New business added also includes a 250'x 72'x 12' crane barge and six 120' deck barges.

Conrad Industries, Inc., established in 1948 and headquartered in Morgan City, Louisiana, designs, builds and overhauls tugboats, ferries, liftboats, barges, offshore supply vessels and other steel and aluminum products for both the commercial and government markets. The company provides both repair and new construction services at its four shipyards located in southern Louisiana and Texas.
