NEW YORK NUKE PLANT

MARKS 10-YEAR MILESTONESYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Nine Mile Point Two nuclear plant marks its 10th anniversary of service this month, Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. said.

Since beginning commercial operation on April 5, 1988, the plant has generated more than 63 million megawatt hours of electricity, enough energy to meet the needs of a city the size of Syracuse or Albany for more than 50 years.

IMPROVES WITH WEATHER

NAIROBI - Kenya's tea production may reach record highs this year because of good weather, farm analysts and brokerage houses said Monday.

Africa Tea Brokers posted production for the month of February at 26.7 million kilograms - 13.5 million kilograms, or 101 percent, above the same month in the previous year.
