In April 2019, Zeaborn Group acquired the remaining ownership interests in Zeamarine, previously held by New Mountain Capital, a New York-based investment firm. The combined activities of Intermarine, ZEABORN Chartering, and Rickmers-Line now operate under the umbrella of Zeamarine, creating one of the world’s largest multi-purpose vessel carriers.
Hamburg-based Zeamarine is a privately owned enterprise and leading provider of ocean transportation services for heavy lift, breakbulk and project cargoes.Its broad range of services include chartering activities, cargo operations, technical supervision, and customized engineering solutions. In 2019, its staff of over 250 employees managed transportation and cargo operations from 19 offices around the globe, for more than one thousand customers. Zeamarine offered an operating fleet of about 85 multipurpose heavy lift vessels with capacities ranging between 6,300 and 30,000 dwt and a combined lifting capacity of up to 1,400 metric tons. Regular sailings from the US, Asia and Europe to Central America, the Caribbean and South America.
