Headquartered In Bremen, Germany, the Zeaborn Group is a global, integrated shipping company that provides services along the entire value-added chain. Since its founding in 2013, Zeaborn has become one of the largest MPV/HL (multi-purpose vessel/heavy lift) carriers and operators through its acquisition of various companies, including Rickmers-Line, Intermarine, Rickmers Ship Management, E.R. Schiffahrt, HC Chartering, and CPO Tankers.

In August 2018, Zeaborn Group bundled its ship management activities for dry cargo vessels – container, bulk and multipurpose – under the brand Zeaborn Ship Management.

Zeaborn Ship Management is a globally operating Ship Manager with about 135 vessels in service, active in both the dry and the wet cargo market. The fleet that ZSM manages in the dry cargo segment comprises both container vessels and bulk carriers as well as multipurpose vessels of various sizes: bulk carriers range from Handymax (cargo ships with less than 60,000 dwt) to Newcastlemax (up to 185,000 dwt), and container vessels from Feeder (small ships up to 1,000 TEUs) to Ultra-Large-Containerships (14,501 TEUs and above).

C-suite changes continue at the Bremen-based multipurpose/heavy-lift carrier Zeamarine.
Ove Meyer will remain a managing partner of Bremen-based parent company Zeaborn Holding following his resignation as managing director of multipurpose/heavylift (MPV/HL) carrier group Zeaborn.

In a surprise move, Zeaborn co-founder Ove Meyer joins a string of executives to leave the carrier group, now one of the largest in the multipurpose/heavy-lift fleet.
Zeamarine’s present fleet consists of about 90 multipurpose and heavy-lift (MPV/HL) vessels with lift capacities up to 1,400 tons, according to the company.
