Sunteck Transport Parent Boosts Profit 13 Percent

Non-asset transport operator’s sales rise 15 percent to $85.4 million

AutoInfo, the parent of non-asset trucking company Sunteck Transport, increased its net profit 13.3 percent in the third quarter to $944,000.

The Boca Raton, Fla.-based company’s gross revenue increased 15.4 percent to $85.4 million, as AutoInfo expanded through acquisitions. In July, the company acquired a non-asset based truck agent business that bolstered Sunteck Transport’s capacity with more than 300 owner-operators.

AutoInfo has a division that offers brokerage and non-asset contract carriage serices through its agents, and another that provides agent support services. Compared with the second quarter, AutoInfo’s net profit rose 4.3 percent, though gross revenue slipped 2.9 percent from $87 million.

For the first nine months of 2011, the company’s net profit increased 26.4 percent to $2.5 million while gross revenue climbed 26.7 percent to $247.8 million.
