YRC Launches 'Home Delivery'
Partnership with STI links LTL network to 'final mile' delivery service
YRC Worldwide’s financial troubles haven’t stopped its efforts to seek new business and expand and fine-tune its services.
The company launched YRC Residential Solutions July 20, a service that make its simple for shippers to deliver goods directly to their customers’ homes and offices.
The service combines YRC’s network with the “final mile” services of residential delivery specialist STI, which handles more than 100,000 deliveries a year.
The less-than-truckload carrier will take goods such as exercise equipment, furniture and televisions and move it through its terminal network to one of 162 STI locations.
