New passport requirements could raise costs, shift freight crossing Canadian border

A new security requirement could lead to a shift in the cross-border trucking market with Canada and higher costs for shippers. The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, which took effect June 1, requires anyone entering the United States from Canada, Mexico
