DAT Freight Index Sees First Recorded July Increase

The DAT North American Freight Index edged up 0.4 percent in July when compared to June’s level. This was the first time that the level in July was higher than in June since the Index was established in 1996. “Freight volume typically declines from June to July; the average month-to-month decline was 20 percent over the past ten years,” sad DAT in its monthly release.
